Dr Lorenzo Grespi FRCPsych

Dr Grespi is a consultant psychiatrist and the Medical Director of Grespi.

Dr Grespi is a General Medical Council (GMC) registered specialist in general psychiatry, psychotherapy and child & adolescent psychiatry. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

In addition to working in the private sector, until recently Dr Grespi worked as an NHS consultant psychiatrist in psychotherapy in Westminster and was Deputy Head for Psychotherapy at a Central London NHS Trust.

Dr Grespi has specialist expertise in working with employers and insurers in the clinical and organisational management of mental health problems in the workplace. He is an insurance psychiatric assessor.

Dr Grespi has published several papers and lectures in the UK and abroad on the management of mental health problems in specialist NHS units, corporate organisations.

Dr Grespi speaks English and Italian.

Dr William Badenhorst FRCPsych

Dr Badenhorst is a consultant psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and Deputy Medical Director of Grespi.

Dr Badenhorst is a General Medical Council (GMC) registered specialist in general psychiatry and psychotherapy and a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and an International Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Alongside his work in the private sector, until 2020, Dr Badenhorst also held an NHS consultant psychiatrist post as Clinical Lead for Psychotherapy in Westminster.

Dr Badenhorst has several years’ experience of clinical leadership in NHS clinical services and senior management teams. His expertise includes clinical governance and the promotion of high-quality care and the clinical needs of people with disabilities and ethnic minorities. He is an insurance psychiatric assessor and has acted as psychiatric expert for employment tribunals.

Dr Badenhorst also has a special interest in mental healthcare education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Dr Badenhorst speaks English and Afrikaans.

Dr Alla Rubitel MRCPsych

Dr Rubitel is a Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychoanalyst and Forensic Psychotherapist.

Dr Rubitel is a General Medical Council (GMC) registered specialist in Psychotherapy and Forensic Psychiatry and is a Member of the British Psychoanalytical Society.

In addition to working in the private sector, Dr Rubitel has worked as an NHS consultant psychiatrist – at the Portman Clinic and previously in the Westminster Psychotherapy Service.

Dr Rubitel has special expertise in the clinical understanding and management of people displaying dysfunctional relationships and behaviours in the workplace and in the provision of psychotherapy treatments to patients with complex pathology and high potential for acting out. She is an insurance psychiatric assessor.

Dr Rubitel speaks English and Russian.

Jan McKenzie

Ms McKenzie is Grespi’s Clinical Coordinator.

She is a qualified psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and the British Psychoanalytic Council. She has significant experience in the provision of mental health services in the public and voluntary sectors with special interests in triaging, counselling and specialist psychotherapy.

Ms McKenzie has an established private practice treating patients for a wide range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma and loss including bereavement.

Her special interest in private practice is the treatment of patients with cross cultural concerns, in particular people from the BAME community who identify as LGBTQ+. Ms McKenzie also has considerable experience as a trainer, in particular training HR in the management of mental health situations in the workplace.

Paula Godfrey

Ms Godfrey is the Head of Occupational Therapy at Grespi.

She is an occupational therapist in mental health, registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. Ms Godfrey has extensive experience in the provision of occupational therapy services to adults, children and adolescents in the public and voluntary sectors.

Ms Godfrey has particular expertise in working with patients who have suffered from severely traumatic experiences, whom she treats in individual and group settings.

Her specialist interest is vocational rehabilitation for employees and insurance claimants, helping them overcome barriers to accessing, maintaining or returning to employment.

David MacSweeney

Mr MacSweeney is a qualified psychotherapist and Head of Safeguarding at Grespi.

He is registered with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. Mr MacSweeney has specific expertise in the provision of individual and group therapy to patients who suffered from traumatic experiences and present with complex personal, social and ethnic backgrounds.

Mr MacSweeney has a background in international security with a special interest in the South China Sea and its dynamic relationship to the geopolitics of the wider Indo-Pacific region. Combining international relations theory with expertise in behavioural and group dynamics, he offers a unique perspective on emerging security and geopolitical issues.

Mr MacSweeney is a member of Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs.
